@01:41Thanks for the link! It looks like he went to AnimationMentor since he has their characters on his reel. They provide rigs for all of their students to use, which is why everyone's student work has similar characters.

I agree. I'm hoping that if nothing else will really tip things in my favor. Afterall, why invest the time and money bringing in an intern if you have no intention of hiring them after school? =D

@01:41Could it be you've been visiting the same animation class as Daniel Floyd? The style reminds me a little of him.

@01:41SCAD apparently^^ Daniel Floyd is a game jounalist and designer as I take it. Makes great video podcasts about the many pitfalls and concerns in game development.
Some of his stuff can be found on YouTube ( [link] )
It was quite interesting cause the style of characters in your reels looks similar^^

Wonderful movement and characters. I really like the different animation styles.

I've been considering joining SCAD, though the tuition's too much of an issue for my budget; still seems like a marvelous college though with even greater education, it would seem

Thanks, I'm glad you like my work! =D Are you interested in 2d or 3d animation? SCAD is quite expensive but if you're interested in 3d animation you can check out AnimationMentor.com. I went there as well and highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Its a phenomenal school! They've raised their prices since I was there but I know its still MUCH less expensive than SCAD.

Mmm, actually, I'm interesting in both, though more or less, I'm leaning towards 2-D animation. Regardless, 3-D is just as appealing.
That seems like quite the idea. I might just check it out. Thanks!

@01:42Totally wonderful.
You went/go to SCAD? That's very interesting. I received a few invites from them, but it seems that it's just out of my budget range.
How is/was it there? :3

Aside from that, marvelous reels <3 I really adore the character and movement in each piece.

@01:42I hope the cat got through the flap in time... or else they'll need 2 separate shoe-boxes to burry him in the back yard. :faint:

@01:42Really? Thanks! I'm not as proud of Cat Flap as I would like to be. I wish I'd been able to spend two quarters on it like we were supposed to but I wasted senior I slaving away over an idea that was way too overcomplicated to finish. >_<

@01:42Youre not? Well if it was me, i would be extremely proud... But that may be because im not good enough to make reels.
I guess many people wish they had more time working on their projects. Especially the way too overcomplicated ones :D

@01:42Did you make that cat animation by drawing each picture? Every time something moved, you drew a picture? If so, that takes skill. If not, it still takes major skill to make an animation. I wish I could do what you do. :D

Yeah, I work at 24 frames per second so that's 24 individual drawings per second. Once you get started and get into the performance, the number of drawings just whiz by. Making a bunch of drawings is the least of your worries while animating in 2d.

@01:42I work at 24fps. If you're interested in animation you can check out Digicel Flipbook or Plastic Animation Paper. I believe both of those have a free trail version that you can download. You can also check out The Animators Survival Kit, Animation Crash Course, and The Illusion of Life. Those three are really great books and I learn something new each time I read them. =D
