Commisions?

Hey,

Would anyone be interested in commissions? I'm trying to find ways to make money for rent that wont require me to be away all day and unable to spend time animating new scenes for my reel (aka getting a "real" job). Here's my price list so far. I'm trying to decide if I should add paintings like : [link] to the list or not. If I did they'd be over $100 since the example took over 60 hours to complete.

Prices:

Line Art
$8 for one character w/o a background; $4 per additional character
$16 for one character with a background; $4 per additional character

Color Art
$23 for one character; $8 per additional character
$32-$48 for one character with a background; $8 per additional character. The price range is based on the complexity of the background.

- I ask for 50% of the total cost upfront and for the remaining 50% upon the completion of the project.
- Payments will be accepted via PayPal.
- Final art will be delivered digitally upon receipt of the full project payment.
- I can draw whatever you want as long as it isn't porn or overtly offensive.
- I also reserve the right to post it on DA, my blog, and/or to include it in my professional portfolio if I choose to do so.

Thanks a bunch everyone!

on one of your videos someone had mentioned SCAD,what is it?And if I want to color for a comic book company or something in that department,do I need it?

I do commissions pretty dirt cheap.Help a fellow artist out in these tough times!
Dr. Venture: Why is it every time I need to get somewhere, we get waylaid by jackassery?
SCAD is one of the school's I went to. It stands for the Savannah College of Art and Design. They have a great sequential art department, so I'm sure you'd be able to learn how to do that there. =D

Hey there,

Yes I still do the videos. I just haven't been able to do them lately. I'm doing freelance illustration to pay for rent while waiting to hear back from studios, so I haven't had time to animate anything so far. =( I'm trying to create a workflow that will allow me to work faster without sacrificing quality so I'll be able to work on my animation as well. I'll post a journal entry once I'm able to do the live videos again.

I dont use flash for my 2d work. All of it is done traditionally and then captured into Digicel flipbook. I hate vector based programs so flash and illustrator aren't really my cup of tea, lol.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you enjoy my work! =D
